About the Role
The Strategy Manager (Growth) is a senior, hands-on role responsible for designing and executing business strategies across our existing aged care and retirement living portfolios and our new service offerings outside these traditional. This includes residential aged care, home care, retirement communities, and wellness programs.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll take the lead in identifying growth opportunities, building business cases, shaping service offerings, and forming key partnerships. You will manage and report on progress to ensure we are hitting our targets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our services meet market needs, remain financially sustainable, and align with our mission to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
We need someone who will own this space, bring the thinking, build the plans, and help us make it happen.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Lead the development and implementation of an integrated growth strategy
- Align services with organisational goals and emerging sector trends
- Translate big-picture plans into actionable steps with clear outcomes
Business Case Development
- Prepare detailed business cases for new services, expansions, or redesigns
- Provide robust financial modelling, risk assessment and market analysis
- Present proposals to the executive and board for endorsement
Business Development
- Identify and assess new opportunities including partnerships, ventures, and acquisitions
- Build and manage relationships with developers, funders, and health/community organisations
- Support marketing teams to position new services to meet market demand
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams across operations, finance, care, and marketing
- Engage meaningfully with residents, clients, families, and communities
- Represent the organisation in key sector forums and build trusted partnerships
Leadership & Influence
- Provide strategic advice to the executive and influence organisational priorities
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across services
- Build internal capability in strategy and planning through mentoring and collaboration

What you’ll bring

The Essentials
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Property or related field (Master’s highly regarded)
- 5+ years in strategy, business development or service planning, ideally in aged care, health, or seniors’ services
- Proven ability to develop growth strategies that are financially sound and aligned to purpose
- Strong skills in financial modelling, market research, and stakeholder engagement
- Track record of leading strategy execution and innovation in complex human service environments
Bonus if you also bring:
- Experience with aged care reform, digital health or service/property development
- Familiarity with HCP, CHSP, NDIS, and Retirement Villages Act
- Existing relationships within the aged care, health, or retirement sectors
